Spring DT sisters a-sprouting…

…today is the first day of SPRING!  The flowers are blooming and so is my wonderful Design Team! *squeals* Here’s a little bit of news before I get to the other good stuff…

I’ve been made the DT Leader for Pez-a-Doodle Designs!
*Happy Dance* w00t! *shake shake*
Looks like the new PDD design team is stuck with me!
HAHAHAHAHA…be scared…

As of this point, Marti and I have got the team down, locked and loaded!  It was definitely  a really tough job, not going through the applications, but seeing how much talent there is to choose from!  If you have not heard from us yet, don’t worry, it’s because at this time, we’re only just getting the notifications out!  Marti’s been working overtime cranking out the E-Mails!  A little bonus announcement, because there were so many wonderful submissions, Marti decided to increase the number of spots available!

For everyone who applied and showed their interest and enthusiasm for all things Pez-a-Doodle, thank you SO much for taking the time to send in your appliations and submissions!  I loved getting to “know” so many of you and hearing all the different stories behind how you got into crafting and where your favourite hobby is taking you!  I’m sorry that we weren’t able to choose everyone, but remember, if your application wasn’t chosen this time around, it was only because there just wasn’t enough space to choose everyone, but we will most definitely be keeping your applications and submissions in mind for the next DT call! 

Marti will be announcing the OFFICIAL DT roster later on today once we’ve heard back from the DT’s chosen for this term.  Don’t forget to check it out and hopefully we’ll see you as the term goes…PDD has so much exciting things in store for this Spring!  We’re just getting started!!!

Design Teams are a-Springin’…

It looks like with the coming of spring, there’s also a start up of demand in Design Team calls.  I am only now becoming more aware and familiar of what Design Teams are and their importance, so I thought I would do up a little poll to see what everyone’s thoughts are on Design Teams and most especially how that applies to my very own beloved PDD Design Team!  I wonder how many more times I can mention the words Design Team in this paragraph before people start getting annoyed and disgusted with my overuse of the term Design Team.  *LOL*

No project to share today (well, none that I’m allowed to share with you just yet, anyway *secretive giggle*).  Last night was mine and Bart’s ‘date night’ and it was soooo romantic!  We worked on our taxes.  BWAHAHAHAHA…hey, finding out how much of a tax refund you could be getting back from the government (to spend on MORE craft stuff) is SEXY!  Right…?!? *LOL*

I hope to be back here tomorrow with some more things to share and chit-chat about, I’ve definitely got things a-brewing!  Thank you for the comments you’ve been leaving regarding my new little  ‘place’ here in the world wide web, I really enjoy reading everyone’s comments and thoughts about this crazy craft of mine!

DESIGN TEAM MEMBERS!

Yes, I SAID IT and YES, YOU READ IT!  I am so excited to be making this announcement my feet won’t stop tapping and I’m wriggling around in my chair!  This is just the beginning of the bigger and better things that Marti’s got in store for PDD.  I am just freaking tickled pink to get to be a part of it all!  So if you’ve been toying around with the idea of wanting to become a Designer or be on a Design Team, or if your current Design Team is just no fun (heaven forbid…but you know, it could happen…*LOL*), or if you definitely think that you and PDD are just a great fit, then keep on reading!

First of all, let me just start with what it’s like to not just be on any Design Team, but what it’s like to be on Marti’s Design Team! 

It. Is. AWESOME! 

First of all, how easy is it when it doesn’t feel like work at all!?  Assignments are PLAY TIME!  Marti has the best products and comes up with the best and sometimes challenging ways to use them!  But she can push your creativity to the next level or to a place where you never thought you could go – now that is creativity at its BEST!  I used to be so scared of Tim Holtz and Alcohol Inks, now I can’t wait to get my inky little fingers on all the products and new releases!  Designing for Marti is like talking to a friend – which it is, because she’s become one of my best friends, but I digress.  She can really make you feel like part of the team and is always open to your suggestions, ideas and yes, even criticism!  Like our saying goes, “friends don’t let friends release ugly stamps!” *LOL*  Marti is always on the look out for the most inventive and innovative products out there and well…when you have THOSE kinds of products, it only makes sense that she would be looking for the most inventive and innovative individuals to USE those products! …and that, my friends, would be YOU!  YES IT IS!  So let’s get down to it!

Marti is looking for FOUR individuals to join her PDD Design Team either on a 2 month or 4 month term.  When sending in your applications, please indicate which term position you would prefer in the subject line.  All applications must be sent to: marti [at] pezadoodle [dot] com by midnight [EST] of Sunday, March 15th, 2009!  Now let’s break it down some more and get to the nitty-gritty of it all:

2 Month Guest Spot
To Apply:
· Submit two items – can be cards, LOs, gift bags, Altered items, etc – can be done using any stamps.
· Short bio – How long you have been papercrafting, family, fave subjects, fave projects to do, etc. Why you want to be on the Pez-A-Doodle DT and what you like about the store.
· Links to any/all blogs, message boards, online galleries, etc where you are active and have posted your work along with your screen name(s).

DT Expectations:
· Two items/projects per week using Pez-A-Doodle stamps with one being one of the SCS challenges.
· One project with each new release during your term if any are released.
· Participate in any challenges I may post including Studio G challenges.
· Actively comment/support other DT members’ blogs/galleries
· Actively participate on the 2 Paper Craft Planet groups – Studio G and Pez-A-Doodle Designs

What you get:
· Choice of 4 stamps/stamp sets
· $15 in products each month
· 25% discount for additional purchases
· All new stamps released during your term

4 Month Guest Spot
To Apply:
· Submit two items – can be cards, LOs, gift bags, Altered items, etc – can be done using any stamps.
· Submit 1 item based on one of Tim Holtz’s blog tutorials – can be from either 2007 or 2008 12 tags or one of his monthly tutorials.
· Short bio – How long you have been papercrafting, family, fave subjects, fave projects to do, etc. Why you want to be on the Pez-A-Doodle DT and what you like about the store.
· Links to any/all blogs, message boards, online galleries, etc where you are active and have posted your work along with your screen name(s).

Expectations:
· Two items/projects per week using Pez-A-Doodle stamps with one being one of the SCS challenges.
· One project with each new release during your term if any are released.
· Two items/projects demonstrating advanced techniques using products available in the store such as Tim tutorials, technique junkies, etc. each month (may be combined with other posting requirements).
· Participate in any challenges I may post including Studio G challenges.
· Actively comment/support other DT members’ blogs/galleries
· Actively participate on the 2 Paper Craft Planet groups – Studio G and Pez-A-Doodle Designs

What you get:
· Choice of 6 stamps/stamp sets
· $25 in products each month
· 25% discount for additional purchases
· All new stamps released during your term

Free products, DT discounts, new stamp releases and being a part of an AWESOME team (that includes MEEEEEE!?!?! *LOL* I mean, if I do say so myself…)  If that’s not incentive enough, then I don’t know what is!

…that time has finally come! I now know how it feels to be the only child and then have to welcome a little baby brother or sister…except this situation is totally different, but still kind of the same thing…HAHAHAHA, ANYWHO!!!
