You’re invited…

…to take part in the PCP Studio G (SGC3) invitation challenge!

Now, speaking from my own personal experience, I know that there are a LOT of you out there with a bajillion Studio G clear stamp sets…and I also know that there are a LOT of you out there NOT USING THEM!  YES, I said it!  You know why I said it?  Because my binder full of beautiful Studio G stamps are still CLEAR!  Yes, clear and UNINKED!   There are so many that have yet to feel the soft, moist touch of an inkpad…to feel the gentle pressure against nice, smoooooth paper…it’s criminal, I tell you!  We should be ashamed of ourselves!

Aaanywho, dramatic moment aside, yes!  Get out those Studio G’s and let’s get a-stampin’!  Marti, our Studio G guru has set us up for our challenge – we are to make INVITATIONS using our sets!  I know there are a couple sets that are specifically for invitations, but get creative!  If you don’t have those particular sets, get out your Studio G’s and make some invitations anyway!  “But I don’t have an event coming up for me to make invites for,” you say?  C’MON, step outside the box, make some blog invites to hand out to your friends or co-workers with your blog address on it to increase traffic to your blog, make some “You’re Invited” to be my friend on facebook invites, or a “You’re Invited” to pick up your dog’s crap on my lawn after he’s done crapping on it invite for that irritating man who lets his dog doodie on your lawn!  *LOL*  Whatever, anything goes!

All entries for this challenge are due to be posted on the PCP Studio G group no later than March 14th!  The best part is, there’s a priiiiiize for this challenge!  And the even BETTER part, it’s being sponsored by Hampton Arts – the makers of Studio G!

Here’s my SGC3 invitation sample:

This is an invitation for my baby cousin’s upcoming baptism.  I tried to keep it pretty simple since I’ll have to be reproducing this a bunch of times, but the basic idea is a patterend background with a little pocket to hold the details of the invite.  I probably won’t use as many rhinestones in the rest of the invites since I’ll have to make so many, but I think that I’ll keep the embellishments on each varied so that each invitation is just a little bit different.

Thanks for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing YOUR invitations!  Especially those of you that don’t have an actual specific event coming up! *LOL*
